Making Poys with Sara:
We had great fun making poys with Sara. Poys are made using an old pair of tights, sand and some ribbon. Fill the toe of an old pair of tights with the sand. Tie a knot to keep the sand intact! Next, staple some ribbon onto the end. Then you have a poy which you can swing around, the ribbons make lovely shapes. You can make up a dance/performance for all your friends. We had great fun performing our routines in the schol playground! Thanks for sharing this activity with us Sara!

Down on the Farm:
Emma Cleary, a local farmer came to visit our class in June. She brought a wonderful array of farm animals including geese, ducks and kittens. We had been learning all about farm animals in our class and we got the chance to see and pet the baby goslings and ducklings as well as ask Emma about her life as a farmer. Emma also brought some fruit and vegetables grown on her farm which we all enjoyed.
